Gewahrsam (Inhaftierung)
Unter Inhaftierung versteht man den Freiheitsentzug einer Person durch die Autorität einer Regierung oder eines Landes, in der Regel durch die Polizei. Ein solcher Freiheitsentzug ist nur in dem Fall zulässig, dass die Person als Täter eines Verbrechens angesehen werden kann. Und selbst wenn die Inhaftierung rechtmäßig erfolgt, muss die Person gemäß der Konvention gegen Folter mit Menschlichkeit behandelt und ihre Würde respektiert werden.
